Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Performance Tester to coordinate NFT collection with business and tech teams and to derive performance testing strategies for impacted systems.

You will study application performance requirements, design tests with LoadRunner and JMeter, run tests, and present results with recommendations. Strong NFT experience (7–9 years) and proficiency with Splunk, Grafana, and Dynatrace are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering or related field.
• 7–9 years of experience in Performance Testing / NFT.
• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts and methodologies.
• Exposure to various types of performance tests including load, stress, endurance, etc.
• Knowledge of FMET and related NFT methods.
• Hands-on experience with LoadRunner, Performance Center, JMeter and APM tools (Splunk, Grafana, BMC).
• Experience with protocols including HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SOAP, JSON; MQs and mainframe integration.

Responsibilities

This role involves coordinating non-functional requirements collection with business and technical teams, studying performance requirements across applications, and deriving performance testing strategies for impacted systems and interfaces.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate non-functional requirements collection process with business and technical teams; understand system performance requirements and business objectives

Study non-functional requirements across applications and derive performance testing strategy for impacted systems/applications and interfaces

Develop scripts and execute performance tests using industry-leading tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter on common protocols such as Web, Web Services, Ajax TruClient, RTE and Winsock

Design and execute performance test plans, scenarios and scripts related to application performance, capacity and resiliency using LoadRunner or JMeter

Analyze, review and present performance results with recommendations to delivery teams and business groups

Use monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk, BMC TrueSight and Dynatrace for performance analysis of applications/infrastructure, identifying bottlenecks and providing tuning recommendations

Perform root cause analysis of performance problems and provide recommendations to resolve them

Work with Development and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and improve identified performance bottlenecks

Analyze scalability, throughput and load testing metrics against test servers

Build performance benchmarks and workloads and conduct performance analysis

About you

Bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer engineering or related field

Have 7–9 years of experience in Performance Testing / Non Functional Test (NFT)

Strong understanding of performance testing concepts and methodologies

Exposure to various types of performance tests including load, stress, endurance, etc.

Knowledge of Failure Mode Effect Testing (FMET)

Hands-on experience with industry-standard performance testing tools such as Micro Focus LoadRunner, Performance Center, Apache JMeter and APM tools such as Splunk, Grafana and BMC

Experience in performance testing using multiple protocols including HTTP/HTTPS, RTE, Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON)

Proficiency with LRE/Performance Center environment usage and integration

Experience working in complex environments with integration to multiple downstream systems and MQs, including Mainframe, Core Banking and AS400 systems

Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
