Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Malaysia is seeking fresh graduates and early-career engineers to join the New Product Introduction (NPI) Test Engineering team. You will work on automotive microcontroller and processor products, developing ATE test solutions from concept and test planning through first silicon validation to mass production.

The role emphasizes strong fundamentals in circuits and semiconductors, basic programming, and collaboration with global design, validation, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in circuits, semiconductors and microcontrollers.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge in C/C++, Python or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-silicon virtual tester simulations (RTL & GLS) and emulation using industry-standard tools.
• Develop ATE test programs to support post-silicon qualification and manufacturing release.
• Contribute to design-for-test (DFT) improvements and AI-assisted automation.
• Collaborate with design, validation and manufacturing teams across global sites.
