Job summary

HI-P ELECTRONICS (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Kulim, Kedah, is seeking a testing engineer to design and implement automated and manual testing procedures for electrical components and systems.

You will develop test plans and validation protocols, collaborate with R&D, Design and Production, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with IEC, UL, ISO, and RoHS standards.

Fresh graduates or candidates with at least 2 years in operation and maintenance of vision-based SMT equipment are welcome.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate or at least 2 years' experience in operation and maintenance of vision based SMT Equipment.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin, as the role requires communication with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated and manual testing procedures for electrical components and systems
• Develop test plans, test cases, and validation protocols for new and existing products
• Collaborate with R&D, Design, and Production teams to ensure testability of new designs
• Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in test processes, equipment, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO, RoHS)
• Oversee the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and instruments
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
• Generate detailed test reports and communicate results to stakeholders
