Job summary

Hi-P International in Malaysia is seeking a QA/Test Engineer to design and implement automated and manual testing procedures for electrical components and systems. You will develop test plans, collaborate with R&D, Design, and Production teams, and generate detailed test reports.

The role requires at least 2 years' experience with vision-based SMT equipment operation and maintenance, a relevant degree, and Mandarin proficiency for communication with counterparts and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of vision based SMT Equipment
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or related discipline
• Mandarin proficiency is required for communication with counterparts and customers

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated and manual testing procedures for electrical components and systems.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and validation protocols for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with R&D, Design, and Production teams to ensure testability of new designs.
• Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in test processes, equipment, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO, RoHS).
• Oversee the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and instruments.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
• Generate detailed test reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
