Job summary

Mcct Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced cost/tender professional to support tender costing, supplier management, and tender documentation across maintenance, procurement, and bids, with site visits. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience in costing, BOQ take-offs, and tender pricing, plus strong Excel skills and negotiation abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related) with knowledge of electrical installation methods/standards.
• Experience in executive/senior exec contracting, costing, tendering, and BOQs.
• Strong cost estimation, BOQ take-offs, and tender pricing.
• Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots) and commercial documentation.
• Strong negotiation/communication; organized, detail-oriented; able to meet tight deadlines; willing to attend site visits.

Responsibilities

• Tender costing: Prepare maintenance quotes, cost estimates, and tender pricing based on specs and site visits.
• Supplier management: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Tender documentation: Prepare/submit accurate, compliant tender documents on time.
• Budget and handover: Finalize project budgets upon award and hand over costs to Project & Maintenance teams.
• Procurement and control: Manage purchasing to budget/schedule, maintain records/databases, and support cost control/continuous improvement.
• Senior-level: Lead complex bids, coach juniors on BOQs/tenders, and drive negotiation strategy.

• Commercial skills: Strong in cost estimation, BOQ take-offs, and tender pricing.
• Digital fluency: Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots) and commercial documentation.
• Stakeholder and work style: Strong negotiation/communication; organized, detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines; willing to attend site visits.
