Job summary

Scicom (MSC) Berhad in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Telecom Network Engineer to provide L1 support for voice and mobile services and proactively monitor fraud events. You will work with customers, suppliers and third parties to ensure timely resolution in a 24x7 environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/IT/Telecom and has at least 3 years in telecom, with knowledge of GSM signalling and IP networks. Strong English skills are required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecom or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years in the telecom industry.
Knowledge of GSM signalling and protocol stacks (MTP, ISUP/SIP, SCCP, TCAP).
Experience with signalling protocol monitoring tools and trace analysis.
Good written and spoken English; another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide L1 network support for voice and mobile services, 24x7.
Handle reactive repair activities with customers, suppliers and third parties worldwide.
Monitor and investigate fraud events to identify root causes and resolutions.
Define and implement improvements in fraud prevention services for customers.
Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure SLA-compliant resolution.
Liaise with commercial to meet customer requests.
