Job summary

Freshtel Internet is seeking a Telco Infrastructure Engineer in Malaysia to monitor and optimize telecom networks, install and maintain network elements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will troubleshoot outages, report issues, and support customer services while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires a degree or diploma in a related field, proven telco experience, and CCNA/CCNP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is required.
• Proven experience as Telco Infrastructure Engineer or similar.
• CCNA/CCNP certifications preferred.
• Strong telecommunications infrastructure and network design knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance focusing on bandwidth usage and power stability.
• Troubleshoot network issues, outages, and schedule upgrades to maximize performance.
• Report and escalate network issues promptly to management.
• Install, maintain and support wired and wireless network components.
• Supervise on-site preparation including civil, mechanical and electrical works.
• Provide timely technical assistance to the customer support team.
• Address and resolve escalated customer complaints thoroughly.
• Update resolution progress to the customer support team with latest subscriber info.
• Handle onsite support professionally, ensuring subscriber satisfaction.
