Job summary

SHB Malaysia Automotive Appliance Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technician to maintain production equipment and troubleshoot machinery to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. The role covers preventive maintenance, servicing, and providing technical support to production teams.

Candidates should have a Diploma/Certificate in mechanical/electrical fields, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or industrial engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills in production equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime or shifts and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Equipment maintenance: preventive maintenance, servicing, repair of production machinery and jigs.
• Troubleshooting: detect, analyze, and resolve mechanical and electrical problems to minimize downtime.
• Inspection & calibration: regular checks, testing, adjustment, calibration for accuracy.
• Production support: assist in machine setup, adjustments, and new model readiness.
• Safety & documentation: maintain maintenance records, follow safety procedures.

As a Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting machinery, and providing technical support to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and repair of production machinery, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.


• Troubleshooting: Detect, analyze, and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment problems to minimize production downtime.


• Inspection & Calibration: Conduct regular equipment inspections, testing, adjustment, and calibration to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.


• Production Support: Provide technical support to production teams, including machine setup, adjustment, and preparation for new models or processes.


• Safety & Documentation: Maintain maintenance records and ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures and requirements.

Job Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.


• At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, machine troubleshooting, or manufacturing. Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.


• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, production machinery, jigs, fixtures, and maintenance procedures.


• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and technical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.


• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment, including overtime or shift work when required. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
