Job summary

Acre Works Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified Mechanical Technician for heavy equipment maintenance and repair across project sites in Malaysia. You will perform inspections, diagnose faults, and carry out preventive maintenance on cranes, excavators, forklifts, skylifts, and lorries.

Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential. Role requires 4–6 years of hands-on experience, knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems, and the ability to document service activities.

Qualifications

• Adequate education to understand equipment manuals and technical diagrams.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Relevant technical certification is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment faults and perform preventive maintenance.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs of heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, forklifts, skylifts, and lorries.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and attend to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in safe and operational condition.
• Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Coordinate with supervisors, operators, and Procurement on equipment maintenance and spare parts requirements.
• Identify equipment issues, report non-compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote equipment utilization, comply with safety and quality standards, and adhere to ABMS policies.
• Report suspected ABMS violations through designated whistleblowing channels.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
