Job summary

Sumos (M) in Malaysia is seeking a responsible Technician Executive to join our team. You will perform machine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and ensure equipment is in good working condition. The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, conducting preventive maintenance, and recording work performed.

Travel to customer sites and on-site support may be required. A driving licence is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / certificate / diploma in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or related technical field.
• Experience as Technician, Service Technician, Maintenance Technician or similar role preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and handle machine breakdowns effectively.
• Willing to travel to customer locations when required.
• Possess a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of machines and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and carry out necessary repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimise machine breakdowns and downtime.
• Attend to machine breakdowns and customer service/repair requests when required.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance work is properly completed and recorded.
• Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of machines where required.
• Maintain proper records of repairs, maintenance and replacement of parts.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and according to company requirements.
• Perform other technical and maintenance duties as assigned by the Management.

We are looking for a responsible and hands‑on Technician Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for machine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and ensuring equipment is in good working condition.

Preferred Experience / Added Advantage

Candidates with the following experience will be given preference:

• Experience working in the food industry or food equipment servicing.
• Hands‑on experience in repairing and servicing waffle machines.
• Hands‑on experience in repairing and servicing ice cream machines.
• Experience in air‑conditioning servicing and repair.
• Experience handling electrical, mechanical, refrigeration or related equipment.
• Experience providing on‑site technical support to customers.
