Job summary

AL REFRIGERATION SDN BHD in Shah Alam, Selangor, is seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. You will install, service, and maintain refrigeration systems, air-conditioning, electrical and plumbing at customer sites, ensuring safe, reliable operation and minimal downtime.

The role requires hands-on problem-solving, routine inspections, and timely response to breakdowns. Travel to various client locations is expected, and a valid Class D driving license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning (RAC), or a related technical field.
• Experience in servicing and maintenance for commercial premises is an added advantage.
• Willing to travel to different customer locations.
• Possess a valid Class D driving license.
• GDL is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair works for refrigeration system, air-conditioning, electrical and plumbing.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently.
• Diagnose faults and identify the root cause of technical issues using appropriate tools and testing methods.
• Repair or replace faulty components, parts and equipment where required.
• Attend to breakdowns and respond to service requests within the required timeframe.
• Carry out servicing and troubleshooting of air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration equipment, including chillers, freezers, cold rooms and display refrigerators.
• Perform basic electrical and plumbing repair works as required.
• Prepare service reports and record maintenance work, parts used and work completed.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant safety requirements.
• Attend emergency breakdowns or provide after-hours service when required.

Requirements

Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning (RAC), or a related technical field.

Previous experience in refrigeration, air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing or maintenance works will be an advantage.

Experience in servicing and maintenance for commercial premises is an added advantage.

Possess a valid Class D driving license.

GDL (Goods Driving License) is an added advantage.

Willing to travel to different customer locations.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.
