H & Y Maintenance Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a skilled technician to maintain, service, and repair air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and electrical gear in branded restaurants. The role includes outstation work in Sungai Petani, Alor Setar, Penang Island and Langkawi.

The position is full time with a focus on HVAC and electrical systems, requiring hands-on problem solving and teamwork. Fresh graduates may apply; valid GDL and PW4 licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• Background in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Electrical, or related technical fields.
• 2+ years experience repairing 5HP+ air conditioning systems.
• Experience in maintenance, servicing, and repair of HVAC and basic electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair knowledge in air conditioning.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with maintenance tools and equipment.
• Must possess valid GDL and PW4 licenses; willing to work across locations.
• Fresh graduates may apply for consideration with proper training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing and repair of AC units, refrigeration systems, and electrical equipment in restaurants.
• Dismantle, install and adjust HVAC and electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults quickly to keep restaurant operations running.
• Conduct preventive and daily maintenance and scheduled inspections.
• Monitor operating conditions and ensure safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with the supervisor to execute maintenance schedules.
• Maintain tools and assist with basic spare parts handling.

Job description

• Perform maintenance, servicing, and repair of air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and electrical equipment in restaurants.


• Carry out dismantling, installation, and adjustment work for all technical equipment including HVAC and electrical systems.


• Quickly and efficiently diagnose and repair equipment faults to ensure uninterrupted restaurant operations.


• Conduct preventive maintenance, daily maintenance tasks, and scheduled inspections as required.


• Monitor equipment operating conditions and ensure compliance with safety standards.


• Work closely with the maintenance supervisor in executing maintenance schedules and assigned tasks.


• Maintain tools and assist in basic spare parts handling when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Background in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Electrical, or other related technical fields.


• Strong experience in air conditioning maintenance, servicing, installation, and repair, with a focus on 5HP and above air conditioning systems.


• Experience in maintenance, servicing, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and basic electrical systems.


• Strong knowledge of air conditioning troubleshooting and technical repair principles.


• Basic knowledge and hands-on skills in electrical troubleshooting and repair.


• Solid hands-on skills with strong problem-solving abilities.


• Able to use various maintenance tools and equipment effectively.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.


• Able to work in a high-intensity environment with flexible working hours.


• Possess valid GDL & PW4 licenses and willing to work across multiple locations.


• Repairing and servicing 5HP & above air conditioning systems: 2 years (Preferred)


• Candidates with strong experience in air conditioning will be given priority.
