Job summary

SC NEW ENERGY MALAYSIA Sdn Bhd is seeking a field service engineer to independently install and commission equipment at customer sites, perform wiring and testing, and support performance validation. You will troubleshoot, analyze faults, and document root causes while delivering basic training to customers.

The role requires travel to sites, overtime when needed, and communication with diverse clients in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, with an emphasis on safety and on-site efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in field service, installation, or equipment support.
• Familiar with technical drawings, electrical schematics, and basic testing instruments.
• PV (solar) equipment or semiconductor industry background preferred.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and work overtime when required.
• Able to communicate with diverse clients in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.

Independently install and commission equipment at customer sites – perform wiring, piping, power‑on checks, functional testing, and process debugging per drawings.

Support engineers in performance validation and technical issue resolution during commissioning; complete test reports with full traceability.

Diagnose and resolve common faults independently; perform preliminary analysis on complex issues and assist engineers with solutions; document repairs and root causes.

Provide basic operation and maintenance training to customers; support trial production and process validation; collect and relay customer feedback.

Manage on‑site materials, spare parts, tools, and PPE; maintain inventory accuracy; comply with 6S and site safety rules.

Participate in training and skill assessments; mentor junior technicians and new hires; carry out other tasks as assigned.

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly travel allowance is provided on top of basic salary, ranging from RM 1,800 to RM 6,100 depending on the work location.
• Overtime pay is calculated separately.
