Job summary

AIRGENS MACHINERY (SARAWAK) SDN BHD is seeking a skilled Air Compressor Service Technician to join our team in Kuching. You will service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors and related systems at customer sites, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control systems, and document outcomes through detailed service reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in air compressor servicing and preventive maintenance is highly preferred.
• Experience with industrial compressors and compressed air systems is an advantage.
• Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics related field.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Air Compressor Service Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in air compressor servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair with a strong interest in developing their technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors and compressed air systems.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on compressors, dryers, pumps and related equipment.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control-system faults.

Carry out compressor overhauling and component replacement.

Attend customer sites for breakdowns, servicing and technical support.

Conduct testing and commissioning of compressor systems.

Prepare service reports and maintenance records.

Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company procedures.

Requirement

Proven experience in air compressor servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair is highly preferred.

Experience with industrial compressors and compressed air systems will be an added advantage.

Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsible, hardworking, disciplined and willing to learn.

Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Good in social, communication skills and a positive attitude toward work.
