Job summary

NIDEC INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Malaysia to support daily assembly line operations and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.

You will troubleshoot machinery, monitor quality checks, manage spare parts, and uphold strict safety standards to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or motors.
• Certificate or Diploma in Engineering is required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of maintenance.
• Familiarity with safety standards and quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist superiors in daily assembly line activities and participate in operational meetings.
• Maintain discipline, work ethics, and apply workplace safety practices (EHS).
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot production machinery to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly during production and maintenance operations.
• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure continuous operations.
• Oversee daily quality checks by completing check sheets and OPLs.

• Certificate or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within the electric motor or manufacturing industry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automated or manual assembly lines.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, quality control tools, and safety standards.

• Assist superiors in daily assembly line activities and actively participate in designated operational meetings.
• Maintain high standards of discipline, work ethics, and adherence to workplace safety practices (EHS).
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot production machinery efficiently to minimize operational downtime.
• Rapidly diagnose and resolve technical issues during production and maintenance operations.
• Monitor, update, and manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure continuous operations.
• Oversee daily production quality control by completing and verifying process check sheets, condition check sheets, and One-Point Lessons (OPLs).
• Ensure assembly output adheres strictly to quality standards and specifications.
