Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing and assembly activities in our Penang facility. You will perform setup, calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime, while following safety and quality guidelines.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, ability to read blueprints and manuals, and the capacity to lift up to 25 kg. A valid driver’s license and independent work capability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA degree or equivalent preferred.
• Must have good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in manufacturing and assembling products per established facility processes, including set-up, calibration, testing, maintenance, and production operation.
• Perform evaluations and/or analyze unique problems that are new to equipment.
• Perform predictive maintenance by analyzing routine failures and determining adjustments and repairs.
• Train lower level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent downtime.
• Monitor equipment operations to ensure proper usage.
• Construct and/or assemble new equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as needed.
• Perform Lock Out / Tag Out requirements.
• Work from blueprints, manuals, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Help repairing hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
• Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.

• Ability to lift and carry 25 kg frequently
• Ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at various heights

What Your Background Should Look Like

Typically requires 3-4 years or more of related work experience. Requires high school diploma. Completion of an AA degree or equivalent is preferred.
