Job summary

Guan Kee Machinery & Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, seeks a Service Technician to install, commission, service and troubleshoot CNC press brake, shearing and laser cutting machines.

Applicants should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Engineering with at least 1 year of machine servicing experience; fresh graduates with strong knowledge are encouraged. Read electrical diagrams and CAD drawings; driving licence and forklift ability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in machine servicing, maintenance, or related field; fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate CNC press brake, shearing, and laser cutting machines.
• Diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control systems and take corrective actions.
• Submit daily service reports after each job and prepare clear service reports after every visit.

What We're Looking For

Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

At least 1 year of relevant experience in machine servicing, maintenance, or a related field. Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (both theoretical and practical).

Experience in servicing or repairing CNC press brake machines, shearing machines, and laser cutting machines is an added advantage.

Experience in machine installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair is an added advantage.

Able to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, CAD drawings, and technical documentation.

Proficient in AutoCAD is an added advantage.

Possess a valid driving licence and able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.

Able to operate a forklift.

Willing to travel outstation when required.

Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Positive attitude, strong teamwork, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation, commissioning, servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of CNC press brake machines, shearing machines, and laser cutting machines.

Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system faults, and carry out corrective actions.

Submit daily service reports upon completion of each assigned job.

Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive service reports after every service visit.

Provide technical support and basic machine operation training to customers when required.

Work closely with the service team to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned tasks.

Maintain effective communication with colleagues and customers.

Carry out ad-hoc duties and assignments as assigned by the management.

Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service at all times.

Comply with company safety policies and maintain good housekeeping practices at customer sites and in the workshop.

Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Saturday: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
