Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled workshop technician in Johor Bahru to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on customer vehicles. You will inspect vehicles, follow checklists, and ensure quality workmanship while upholding safety standards.

As part of the service team, you will collaborate with the job controller and foreman, quote parts, and maintain a clean, safe workshop environment to meet service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Review job card and discuss with job controller if the job description is unclear.
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are inspected according to the vehicle's mileage and condition.
• Perform scheduled preventive/service maintenance, troubleshooting, major repairs, and recall work.
• Responsible for the customer vehicle's exterior/interior condition at the workbay area before servicing and repair work.
• Recommend additional wear-and-tear parts and submit quotations to the job controller/SA for customer approval, avoiding follow-up quotations.
• Keep the workplace clean and tidy; dispose of waste oil, waste coolant fluid, and general trash into designated bins.
• Engage the Foreman for QC/test drive after servicing and repair work completed.
• Complete all repair jobs stated on the job card efficiently, based on standard man-hours.
• Provide good-quality workmanship to meet service standard requirements.
• Ensure the workshop adheres to local workplace safety and health regulations (including traffic control within the workshop).
