Job summary

Millennium Autobeyond Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled Car Technician with 3-5 years of automotive industry experience. The role requires a Diploma in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and hands-on ability in vehicle inspections and repairs.

You will work with a team, perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, PDIs, and communicate repair estimates clearly to service advisors and customers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven car technician experience.
• Diploma in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Skilled in vehicle inspections and identifying problems.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance for vehicle longevity and performance.
• Team-oriented with clear communication of technical information.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of automotive repair best practices and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks according to manufacturer specs and safety standards.
• Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and post-repair quality checks.
• Stay up-to-date with latest automotive technologies, repair techniques and best practices through training.
• Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding condition, estimates and progress; explain issues clearly.
• Create and provide parts and labor quotations for additional work found during repairs.
• Check vehicles according to Final Control SOP and report issues to Team Leader.
• Ensure repairs are completed within stipulated time and vehicles delivered safely.
• Possess skills in report writing, schematic reading and machine repair.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments as directed by supervisor.

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on a variety of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and post-repair quality checks to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and vehicles are safe for operation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle condition, repair estimates, and service progress, explaining technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
• Create and provide Parts and Labor quotations for additional work which may be found during the course of repair.
• To conduct checking of vehicle according to Final Control SOP, to ensure all listed points have been checked and any issues to be informed to Team Leader immediately.
• To ensure repairs are performed within the stipulated time, to ensure timely completion of repairs and delivery to customer.
• Report writing, schematic reading and machine repair skills.
• To handle ad-hoc assignments and other duties as assigned by Superior from time to time.
