Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled Car Technician with 3-5 years of automotive experience to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs. You will diagnose electrical systems, conduct PDIs, and maintain high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include communicating with service advisors, preparing quotes, and staying current with automotive tech advancements. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential for timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Car Technician with a minimum of 3-5 years in the automotive industry.
  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skilled in performing thorough vehicle inspections and identifying potential problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance procedures to ensure vehicle longevity and performance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Familiarity with using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair best practices and safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on a variety of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and post-repair quality checks to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and vehicles are safe for operation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle condition, repair estimates, and service progress, explaining technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Create and provide Parts and Labor quotations for additional work which may be found during the course of repair.
  • To conduct checking of vehicle according to Final Control SOP, to ensure all listed points have been checked and any issues to be informed to Team Leader immediately.
  • To ensure repairs are performed within the stipulated time, to ensure timely completion of repairs and delivery to customer.
  • Report writing, schematic reading and machine repair skills.
  • To handle ad-hoc assignments and other duties as assigned by Superior from time to time.
