NAZA EASTERN MOTORS SDN BHD is seeking a skilled Technician in Penang Island to maintain and repair vehicles to high standards of quality and safety. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and component replacements while ensuring accurate record-keeping and safety compliance.

The role requires experience in automotive repair, strong knowledge of vehicle systems, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Qualified in automotive mechanics or vehicle repair from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience as a technician in automotive repair or dealership setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic vehicle systems.
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
• Able to read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams and service bulletins.
• Attention to detail, quality workmanship, and team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic inspections on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and brake systems.
• Conduct vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Diagnose complex mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and metalwork repairs as required.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet service schedules and customer deadlines.
• Keep up to date with new vehicle technologies and repair techniques.

• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins


• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team


• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach


• Physical fitness and ability to work in various positions for extended periods


• A valid driving licence is highly desirable


• Experience with specific vehicle brands or recent model year vehicles would be advantageous
