RAYMOND AUTO WORKS SDN BHD in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, seeks a skilled Mechanic for Car workshop to join our automotive team. This full-time role focuses on diagnosing faults, maintenance, and high-quality repairs to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

You will work with modern diagnostic tools, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver reliable service while staying updated on latest automotive technologies.

Qualifications

• recognised automotive mechanics qualification or relevant certification from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience working as a mechanic in an automotive workshop or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and computer-based vehicle analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and electrical schematics.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in varying positions for extended periods.
• A valid driver's licence and clean driving record.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures and best practice in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups, and brake servicing
• Repair and replace faulty vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised automotive equipment safely and effectively
• Document all work completed, including labour hours, parts used, and vehicle condition reports
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair progress, costs, and technical issues
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
• Keep abreast of new automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous learning

As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.
