Job summary

Nichicon (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a production support technician to ensure smooth operation of machines and lines. You will set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and monitor equipment, supporting operators and line leaders to resolve process-related issues.

The role requires reading work instructions and drawings, performing basic maintenance, and complying with safety, quality, and 5S rules. Shift work, overtime, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Machining, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, machining, machine maintenance, or technical support is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand work instructions, technical drawings, machine manuals, or equipment settings.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production operation to ensure machines and production lines run smoothly.
• Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot production machines, tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment when required.
• Monitor machine performance and report any abnormality, breakdown, or repeated issue to the superior.
• Assist in reducing machine downtime and production loss through quick response and basic troubleshooting.
• Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning, checking, and machine condition monitoring according to schedule.
• Support production operators and line leaders in solving machine, process, or product-related issues.
• Ensure production processes follow work instructions, SOP, safety rules, and quality requirements.
• Assist in product changeover, machine setting, trial run, and production preparation.

Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently or in a team.

Able to work under pressure and support production requirements.

Willing to work shift, overtime, rest day, or public holiday when required.

Basic knowledge of safety, quality, 5S, and production discipline is an advantage.

Additional Advantage by Position

Experience in production machine setup, adjustment, changeover, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Able to support operators and line leaders in machine, process, or product-related issues.
