Job summary

TDK (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to identify and investigate product and process non-conformities, ensuring compliance with quality requirements. You will analyze process quality issues, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

You will prepare quality analysis reports, present findings to management, and coordinate cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical or related field).
• 2–5 years of quality assurance experience or similar function.

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate product and process non-conformities to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Analyze process quality issues and defects, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare quality analysis reports and present findings to supervisors and management for decision-making.
• Perform customer return failure analysis and prepare 8D reports for customer complaints and product failures.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assess potential impacts on product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance arising from process deviations or changes.
• Issue and manage Internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for process and product non-conformities.
• Prepare and analyze monthly quality performance reports, including quality trends, KPIs, yield performance, and improvement recommendations.

Job description

Perform customer return failure analysis and prepare comprehensive 8D reports for customer complaints and product failures.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Assess potential impacts on product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance arising from process deviations or changes.

Issue and manage Internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for process and product non-conformities.

Prepare and analyze monthly quality performance reports, including quality trends, KPIs, yield performance, and improvement recommendations.

Secondary Responsibilities

Participate in and support internal, customer, third-party, and certification audits, including audit follow-up and closure of findings.

Conduct process and product quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.

Review Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and monitor critical process parameters to ensure process stability and capability.

Maintain and update quality documentation, including Control Plans (CP), Process Flow Charts, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

Review and approve production loading lists to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Review and approve Product Operating Specifications (POS) and related operational quality requirements.

Review and evaluate 4M changes (Man, Machine, Material, Method) and manage internal change control activities.

Support the implementation and maintenance of management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and Product Environmental Compliance requirements.

Review, revise, approve, and control quality records, procedures, work instructions, specifications, and ISO documentation to ensure document integrity and compliance.

Job Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical or related field)

Minimum 2–5 years working experience in quality assurance or similar function.

Language : English, Bahasa Melayu and Chinese (added advantage)

Software Skills : MCOSMOS software, NCAT and Microsoft Office
