Job summary

American Tec Co., Ltd. in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a field service engineer to provide frontline support to key account customers, perform site surveys, install machines, and support pre-sales evaluations.

You will maintain quality through timely reports, manage KPIs, and develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers, while traveling as needed and communicating in Mandarin and English.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and good communication.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and multitasking.
• Willing to travel and have own transport.
• Good verbal and written communication in Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line service support to key account customers for quick issue resolution.
• Standby duty to offer 24-hour hotline support.
• Conduct site surveys before machine installation to ensure readiness.
• Install machines timely and smoothly per user requirements.
• Assist in pre-sales machine evaluations to support customer needs.
• Raise nonconformance reports and track until closure.
• Ensure all job sheets are completed and endorsed by customers.
• Enforce quality practices aligned with Amtec Quality drive.
• Submit reports timely and keep superiors updated.
• Develop improvements, drive KPI, and manage business growth.
• Maintain excellent relations with suppliers, customers and partners.
• Engage in business development activities and lead a productive team.
• Other duties as required.

Job description

• To provide 1st line service support to key account customers to achieve quick resolution of operation issues.
• To perform standby duty to make available 24 hours support via a hotline to satisfy customer’s needs.
• To conduct site survey at customers’ place to ensure adequate preparation prior to machine installation.
• To perform machine installation in a timely and smooth manner to meet the user’s requirements.
• To perform babysitting in pre-sales machine evaluation project to meet customer’s requirements.
• To raise nonconformance & issues tracker report as when necessary and to follow up the issues until it is closed.
• To ensure that all job sheets are clearly completed and endorsed by customer before submission.
• To be involved in and enforce quality practices at all times to line with Amtec Quality drive.
• To ensure the timely submission of all required reports and to keep the superior updated at all times.
• Develop and execute continuous improvements, initiatives and manage KPI.
• Establish and maintain excellent relations with suppliers, customers and business partners.
• Develop business plans and objectives; pro-actively engage in business development activities, lead and motivate an effective working team, improve and achieve performance targets and business growth.
• Other duties as and when required.
