Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Technician to assist with the installation, setup and maintenance of technical systems at project sites. The role involves testing, troubleshooting and supporting CCTV and security systems, with on-site work and occasional travel to locations as required.

Candidates with technical or engineering backgrounds, including Diploma or Certificate holders, are encouraged to apply. Prior technician experience is advantageous and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Technical, Civil or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, TVET or related fields.
• Candidates from technical or engineering background transitioning into Technician role are welcome.
• Previous technician or relevant technical experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV and security systems is an advantage.
• Willing to work on-site and travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, setup and maintenance of technical systems and equipment.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
• Assist with CCTV, access control and alarm system installation and maintenance.
• Carry out basic cabling, wiring and equipment connections.
• Conduct site inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and project requirements.
• Ensure tools and work areas are maintained and assist supervisor with tasks.
