Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Sales Engineer who blends technical know-how with sales acumen to understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.

You will support the sales team from initial inquiry through order, conduct product presentations, site visits, and technical briefings, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop proposals.

The role involves preparing quotations, maintaining records, and representing the company at trade shows and industry events.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in sales support, technical sales, engineering, customer service, or manufacturing preferred.
• Candidates with relevant engineering experience but no sales experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products, systems, or solutions.
• Perform customer visits, site visits, surveys, measurements, and technical assessments when required.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical briefings for customers.
• Work closely with sales teams to identify opportunities and develop technical proposals.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals, specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Respond to customer technical inquiries and provide pre-sales technical support.
• Collaborate with engineering, project, operations, and product teams to develop solutions.
• Attend customer meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
• Follow up with customers and support the sales process from initial inquiry through order confirmation.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.
