Job summary

Vallen Asia in Malaysia (Penang) is seeking a Technical Services Team Lead to supervise installation, maintenance and servicing of Vallen’s commercial machines. You will plan and lead installation projects, configure and commission machines on customer sites, and drive preventive maintenance schedules.

You will manage a team, coordinate safety programs, and liaise with suppliers and clients to ensure high uptime and quality. Forklift and scissor-lift certified candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechatronic/ Electromechanical) or related disciplines.
• Experience in machine servicing and installations

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead machine installation projects.
• Lead in configuring, installing, testing and commissioning of machines at customer sites.
• Establish and implement process specification and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Monitor and align vending machine settings with Cribmaster Client software.
• Plan and lead preventive maintenance schedule and repairs.
• Coordinate in machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose prognosis and estimate repair costs to minimize re-work.
• Schedule maintenance and repair services for customers.
• Install and disassemble machines and replace or repair parts.
• Identify defective parts and recommend repairs.
• Ensure safety compliance and 5S/HSE initiatives.

Job description

As Technical Services Team Lead, you work with suppliers, customers and internal team to ensure that Vallen’s commercial machines are functional and efficient. You are also responsible supervising the team in providing configuration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of machines.

What will you deliver?

1. Machine Installation, Services and Maintenance

Plan and lead machine installation projects.

This includes lead in configure, install, test and commission Vallen’s machines on new customer sites as required

Establish and implement process specification and troubleshooting in customer sites.

For vending machine: monitor, configure vending machine setting to ensure that the vending machine setup synchronises and is up to date with Cribmaster Client software.

Plan and lead machine preventive maintenance schedule and repairs.

Assist and coordinate in machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Diagnose the prognosis; estimate repair cost and minimize re-work status.

Schedule maintenance and repair services of vending machines for customers

Install and disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair.

Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts.

Identify defective parts and give recommendations for repair requirements.

Diagnose the prognosis; estimate repair cost and minimize re-work status.

Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.

Planning / Scheduling

1.1. Team Management

Oversee daily activities of team members and provide assistance whenever needed.

Manage the schedules and deployment of team members.

Guide and train team members on proper processes.

Direct company policies to staffs and enforce safety regulations.

Set expectations, coach, motivate, organize and encourage teamwork to ensure set productivity targets are met.

1.2. Safety Management

Compliance with workplace safety programs & safety initiatives and enforce safety standards.

Support in safety training programs and inspections to ensure staff and subcontractors abide policies and standards.

Ensuring strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises.

Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits.

Support 5S Initiatives and HSE Compliance, include successfully to achieve BizSafe Star certificate.

Assisting company safety related certifications and awareness.

Assisting on obtaining relevant licenses for machineries and equipment.

Liaise with Government authority, 3rd party professional bodies and vendors on facilities management requirement.

-Other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.

Key Qualifications
