We are looking for an experienced Technical & Quality Engineer to join our construction project team in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project technical matters and quality management, including reviewing drawings and technical documents, monitoring construction quality, conducting inspections, managing QA/QC documentation and coordinating with consultants, contractors and project teams.
Key responsibilities
Review construction drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications and method statements.
Provide technical support and assist in resolving technical issues during construction.
Monitor site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Conduct site inspections and quality checks for materials, workmanship and completed works.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documents, inspection records, checklists and quality reports.
Coordinate inspection requests and follow up on inspection results with consultants and relevant project parties.
Identify quality issues, defects and non-conformance, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Assist in managing NCR, inspection records and other quality-related documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on technical and quality matters.
Monitor material submissions, samples, approvals and quality compliance.
About you
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction technical, QA/QC or project engineering roles is preferred.
Experience in building, industrial construction, infrastructure, M&E or large-scale construction projects will be an added advantage.
Familiar with construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, inspections and QA/QC procedures.
Experience in handling Inspection Requests, NCR, material inspections and quality documentation will be an advantage.
Good understanding of construction quality standards and site procedures.
Strong technical, problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software will be an advantage.
Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Mandarin communication skills will be an added advantage.
RM5,000 – RM8,000 salary package
