Job summary

SANDVIK MINING AND CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN. BHD. invites applications for a Technical Manager role based in Subang UEP to drive technical support, develop customer-focused solutions, and contribute to business growth. Occasional travel within Southeast Asia is required.

The role requires strong CNC programming, CAD/CAM, and GD&T skills, plus leadership and project management capabilities to guide internal and customer projects.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in the metal cutting tools or CNC machining industry.
• Proven track record in production engineering or machining operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CNC programming and modern machining technologies.
• Familiarity with tooling systems for aerospace, automotive, or general engineering industries is a plus.
• Understanding of CAD/CAM software and basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience in conducting technical consultations and resolving customer challenges.
• Proficiency in managing technical projects, including coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and related technical tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Provide timely solutions to product-related inquiries and technical challenges.
• Customer Collaboration: Analyze customer technical requirements and tailor solutions to improve machining performance.
• Problem-Solving: Resolve complex machining issues and offer practical technical advice and training.
• Application Testing: Conduct trials and testing for new and existing products on customer-specific applications.
• Product Development: Provide feedback on technical aspects of tools and systems to improve offerings.
• Process Optimization: Manage cost-saving initiatives and tool management programs to enhance value.
• Training Delivery: Facilitate technical workshops and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
