Zusammenfassung

Etex Group in Malaysia (Meru, Klang) is seeking a Technical Estimator to accurately quantify material quantities, review design drawings with AutoCAD and our proprietary tools, and prepare elevations and sections when needed. You'll liaise with clients and internal teams on value engineering, handover content, and commercial improvements, while maintaining documentation and drawing standards.

Fresh graduates are welcome; travel may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in construction/civil/mechanical/engineering/architecture; 1 year of drafting/estimating experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; entry level position.
• Experience in facade construction is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings; good organizational skills.
• Strong command of English; Bahasa Malaysia/Mandarin advantageous.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.

• Ensuring all documentation received from a client is comprehensive enough to provide an accurate estimation.
• Assist in the assessment of any possible improvement areas from the commercial aspect of the business.
• Liaise with sales organizations to improve the content of information and the process of handover to the client.
• Provide technical assistance to the sales, technical and marketing organization.
• Provide technical assistance to all our clients/partners.
• Provide assistance with internal technical projects where required.
• Assist with updating/producing technical documents where required.

What you'll bring

About you

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in construction / civil / mechanical / engineering / architecture with a minimum 1 year working experience as drafter/estimator in the building sector.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as this is an entry level position.
• Diploma holder with many years of working experience can also be considered.
• Experinece in facade construction and working/studying in an international organisation setup is an asset.
• Able to understand and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and technical sepcifications.
• Practical, administratively very accurate and have good organizational skills.
• Have a strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel-Words-Power Point) and Autodesk AutoCAD. Knowledge of other architectural software e.g. ArchiCAD abd Revit is an advantage.
• Good command of English langauge is a prerequisite. The candidate must have skills in both written and spoken. Other language skills in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and/or European languages are added advantage.
• Excellent capacity to plan and organize his/her job, projects and strategies.
• Able to work under minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team and easy interaction with internal and external teammates and business associates.
• Possess a positive attitude and good communication skills dealing with all relevant parties.
• Willing to take additional responsibilities and to take the lead where required.
• Must be willing to undertake travel internationally when required.
