Job summary

Sheng Cong Electronics Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Technical & Engineering Executive (Injection Moulding) to oversee and optimise injection moulding operations in Ipoh, Perak.

You will drive efficiency, maintain safety standards and collaborate with QA and planning teams to meet production targets. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 3–5 years’ experience, strong troubleshooting, and capability to lead a team of operators in a modern

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in injection moulding operations.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints and process specifications.
• Commitment to quality control and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily injection moulding operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and support preventative maintenance programmes.
• Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine performance and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with QA to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
• Train and supervise machine operators on best practices, safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with engineering and production planning teams to schedule and resolve challenges.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in injection moulding.
• Maintain documentation of technical specifications, process parameters and equipment modifications.

About the role

We are seeking a Technical & Engineering Executive (Injection Moulding) to join our manufacturing operations in Ipoh, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing and optimising our injection moulding processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing operations run efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential to our production success and offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology and lead continuous improvement initiatives across our injection moulding department.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and oversee daily injection moulding operations to ensure compliance with production schedules and quality standards

Troubleshoot technical issues on injection moulding machines and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime

Conduct regular maintenance checks and support preventative maintenance programmes to ensure equipment operates at optimal efficiency

Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine performance and quality metrics

Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements

Train and supervise machine operators on best practices, safety procedures and equipment operation

Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations within the production area

Liaise with engineering and production planning teams to coordinate scheduling and resolve production challenges

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in the injection moulding process

Maintain accurate documentation of technical specifications, process parameters and equipment modifications

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field

Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in injection moulding operations or manufacturing environments

Strong technical knowledge of injection moulding machines, processes and troubleshooting methodologies

Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints and process specifications

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions

Sound understanding of quality control principles and ISO standards applicable to manufacturing

Competency in using computerised systems and production management software

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and health standards

Ability to work shift patterns as required by operational needs

Preferably, experience with manpower supervision and team leadership

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is advantageous
