Job summary

Widetech Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to set up, operate, and maintain injection moulding machines for high-quality plastic components. The role emphasizes machine setup, mould changeovers, and process optimization to meet production targets and standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in blow or injection moulding, with strong knowledge of mould changes, troubleshooting, and adherence to 5S and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school or technical certificate in plastic processing or equivalent.
• 2–3 years experience in blow moulding or injection moulding in manufacturing environments.
• Good knowledge of injection moulding processes and machine operations.
• Willingness to work in rotation shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee machine setups and mould changeovers as per production schedule. Adjust processing parameters to ensure part quality and cycle efficiency.
• Start up, shutdown and monitor injection moulding machines during operations. Perform in-process checks and make necessary process adjustments to maintain consistent product quality.
• Troubleshooting, analysis and optimize parameter setting with effectiveness.
• Update 'MOULDING CONDITION SETTING AND CONTROL SHEET' if found master data is not accurate and required to be updated.
• Clean, maintain and ensure tools equipment in good condition and cleanliness before and after used. Report to superior if any abnormality found.
• Ensure all job tasks and activities have been recorded, traceability and easy understandable.
• Follow production documentation, work instructions and safety procedures.
• Support training of operators and junior technicians as required.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the work areas.
• Carry out any other responsibility assigned by superior from time to time.

About you

• High school and or technical certificates / diploma in plastic processing or equivalents.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of knowledge and experience in blow moulding machine operations and or injection moulding within injection moulding machineries manufacturing environments.
• Good knowledge of injection moulding process and machine operations.
• Knowledge and experiences in mould changeovers and basic machine troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of plastic materials (ABS, PP, PC, etc).
• Team player with strong work ethics and attention to details.
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work in rotation shifts and or overtime needed.
