Job summary

MR DIY International is seeking a Technical Lead to own the technical implementation of a product or programme, guiding engineers and ensuring code quality and DevOps practices. The role reports to the Head of IT Transformation and focuses on delivering high-quality integrations and performance improvements.

The candidate will translate designs into technical tasks, design APIs and data models, conduct code reviews, and work with stakeholders to plan and deliver releases.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of engineering experience.
• People leadership capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, and ability to translate complex technical matters for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mentality with bias for delivery and continuous improvement.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide structure, direction, and clarity to the team.
• Practical conflict-resolution skills and ability to align diverse viewpoints toward a common solution.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical implementation of a product or programme.
• Guide engineers, ensure code quality and DevOps practices.
• Translate solution designs into detailed technical tasks and API designs.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance.
• Plan delivery with stakeholders and remove blockers.
