Job summary

Billennium in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Software Development Delivery Lead to oversee end-to-end enterprise software delivery, bridging backend, frontend, infrastructure, DevOps, database and cloud teams in an Agile environment.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive engineering best practices, resolve dependencies, and ensure high-quality software delivery with production readiness and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Software Development.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Delivery Lead role.
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience with AWS deployments and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery lifecycle from requirements through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Drive delivery planning, sprint execution, release management, and production readiness.
• Bridge communication across Backend, Frontend, DevOps, Infrastructure, Database, QA, and Business teams.
• Coordinate dependencies across multiple workstreams and resolve blockers.
• Provide technical leadership for Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Review designs for architecture, coding standards and security.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineers and DevOps for AWS deployments.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning align with delivery objectives.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Delivery Lead to oversee the end-to-end delivery of enterprise software solutions. This role serves as the bridge between backend, frontend, infrastructure, DevOps, database, and cloud teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering knowledge with delivery leadership experience. You will coordinate cross-functional technical teams, drive engineering best practices, resolve technical dependencies, and ensure high-quality software delivery within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle from requirements analysis through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Drive delivery planning, sprint execution, release management, and production readiness.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.

Technical Coordination

• Bridge communication and execution across Backend, Frontend, DevOps, Infrastructure, Database, QA, and Business teams.
• Coordinate technical dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Facilitate technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution alignment.
• Resolve delivery blockers and manage technical risks.
• Provide technical leadership for Java and Spring Boot application development.
• Review solution designs and ensure adherence to architecture, coding standards, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and Solution Architects on system design and implementation.
• Work closely with Cloud Engineers and DevOps teams to support AWS-based application deployments.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and infrastructure provisioning are aligned with delivery objectives.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Database & Integration

• Coordinate database design, optimization, migration, and performance tuning activities.
• Ensure seamless integration between applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with database administrators and integration teams on deployment planning.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary technical delivery liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, architects, and engineering teams.
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to senior management.
• Support estimation, budgeting, resource planning, and project governance.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Software Development.
• At least 3 years in a Technical Lead, Delivery Lead, Engineering Manager, or Software Development Manager role.
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot application development.
• Good understanding of frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with database design, performance tuning, and SQL optimization.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) is an advantage.
