Job summary

Fraser & Neave (F&N) in Shah Alam, Selangor, is hiring a Technical Assistant 1 to support electrical/electronic engineering operations in a full-time capacity. You will assist in installation, testing and commissioning of new equipment, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and document activities, contributing to a safe and efficient production environment.

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• If without academic qualification, 5–7 years of working experience to fulfill technician 2 duties.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with tools and test equipment.
• Must be computer literate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• General machine cleaning and servicing; maintain good housekeeping of withdrawn machines and those under repair.
• Machine installation, withdrawal, repair/maintenance, and refurbishment.
• Troubleshoot and rectify problems; re-condition equipment.
• Re-branding of equipment.
• Joget System Management: ticket monitoring, updating status, closing tickets.
• Cooler Handling: preparation, return monitoring, sorting by repair status.
• Vendor coordination: gate pass handover, photo updates, RFD cooler collection.
• Housekeeping and inventory: cleaning and physical counts.
• Provide technical assistance to the engineering team.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical/electronic equipment.
• Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Document work activities and maintain records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Technical Assistant 1 to join our team at Fraser & Neave (F&N) in Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time position will play a vital role in supporting our Electrical/Electronic Engineering operations and contribute to the overall success of the company.

What you'll be doing

• General Machine cleaning & servicing - maintain good housekeeping of withdrawn machines & machines under repair.

• Documenting work activities and maintaining accurate records
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

What we're looking for

• Certificate / Diploma in Technical field - Electrical/Electronic/ Mechanical.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• If without academic qualification, must have 5 to 7 years of working experience able to fulfill / perform technician 2 job specification.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in the use of tools and test equipment.
• Must be computer literate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
