Job summary

Hong Leong Assurance Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Product Manager (Tech) within the Digital & Transformation division. You will own the product lifecycle for insurance capabilities, translating business goals into technical requirements, epics, and user stories.

You will drive the vision and execution of HLA insurance POS and core transaction workflows, ensuring seamless digital experiences for agents and customers, while coordinating across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Technical Product Manager or Product Owner, preferably in Insurance.
• Strong understanding of insurance workflows including POS, policy admin, or digital quotation engines.
• Proficient in Java-based enterprise architectures.
• Experience with API-first design, RESTful services, and cloud-native architectures.
• 8+ years in a similar industry with proven stakeholder management and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the product lifecycle for key insurance capabilities.
• Translate business goals into technical requirements, epics, and user stories.
• Drive vision and execution of HLA insurance POS and core transaction workflows.
• Oversee end-to-end product releases with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Solution Architects and BSA to design integrations.
• Collaborate with Microservices teams to build modular services.
• Lead and mentor a team, set performance goals and development.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Identify, manage and control data risks; uphold data integrity.
• Support implementation of operational resilience and recovery management.
• Ensure data policies and controls for customer documents.
