Job summary

Hong Leong Assurance is seeking a Product Manager (Tech) within the Digital & Transformation division. You will own the product lifecycle for insurance capabilities, translating business goals into technical requirements, epics, and user stories.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Technical Product Manager or Product Owner in insurance domain.
• Experience with POS systems and policy administration or digital quotation engines.
• Strong knowledge of Java-based enterprise architectures.
• Familiarity with API-first designs, RESTful services, and cloud-native architectures.
• At least 8 years in a similar industry with proven stakeholder management and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the product lifecycle for key insurance capabilities and translate business goals into technical requirements, epics, and user stories.
• Drive vision and execution of HLA insurance POS and core transaction workflows for seamless digital experiences.
• Oversee end-to-end releases with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, bug-free deployments.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Systems Analysts on scalable system integrations.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team, setting performance goals and driving growth.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors; ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Identify and control data risks, monitor performance and uphold data integrity.
• Support implementation of operational resilience, including outsourcing risk, BC/DR management.
• Ensure data policies and controls safeguard customer information.
