Job summary

Taylor's International School Puchong is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support Primary classes. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students' learning, development, wellbeing and day-to-day classroom activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with lesson plans, observing students for additional needs, preparing teaching resources, and upholding the school values. Minimum education and 1 year of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, STPM, A Level, Pre-U, Professional Certificate in Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in an international school.
• Caring, patient and responsible, with a genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
• Safeguarding and welfare of children with pre-employment checks will be undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily lesson plans, routines and classroom activities.
• Observe students and identify those needing extra support and assist accordingly.
• Assist with preparing teaching and learning resources and displaying students' work.

• Ensure the safety and welfare of students at all times.

Work closely with the class teacher and follow the daily lesson plans, routines and classroom activities.

Attend staff briefings, training sessions and professional development activities as required.

Undertake supervisory duties outside the classroom when required by the Principal, Head of Section or Deputies.

Ensure the safety and security of students at all times.

Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal, Head of Section or Deputies.
