Job summary

Taylor’s International School Puchong is seeking a Temporary Teaching Assistant to support our Primary classes, working closely with teachers to assist learning, development, wellbeing and day-to-day classroom activities.

You will help prepare teaching materials, supervise activities and ensure student safety, with duties including attendance at staff briefings and collaborative work with the school team.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPm, STPM, A Level, Pre-U, or equivalent in education/training.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in an international school.
• Caring, patient and responsible with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well as part of a teaching team.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Assist with daily lessons, classroom routines and activities.

Observe students and provide additional support where needed, in consultation with the class teacher.

Prepare teaching and learning resources and help display students’ work.

Support students’ safety, wellbeing and learning throughout the school day.

Attend staff briefings, training and professional development activities.

Undertake supervisory duties outside the classroom when required.

Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team.

Promote and uphold the core values of Taylor’s Education Group (TEG).

Carry out other duties as assigned by the Principal, Head of Section or Deputies.

Job Requirements

Minimum SPM, STPM, A Level, Pre-U, Professional Certificate in Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent.

Good command of written and spoken English.

At least 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in an international school.

Caring, patient and responsible, with a genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work well as part of a teaching team.
