Job summary

Infosys in Malaysia, Selangor, Petaling Jaya is seeking a Tax professional to handle day-to-day indirect and direct tax activities, ensuring accuracy and timely filings.

The role emphasizes knowledge of APAC tax laws, ability to work in a team, and strong research and communication skills to support tax processes and client requirements. Candidates should have a finance/accounting background and at least three years of indirect tax experience, preferably in CA or outsourcing environments.

Qualifications

• University graduates in Finance/Accounts with 15 years of education.
• 3 years of indirect tax / direct tax experience in any country.
• Knowledge of APAC tax laws and concepts.
• Experience in CA firm or Outsourcing firm preferred.
• Ability to prepare accurate tax returns in a timely manner.
• Strong research skills and ability to use online resources.
• Active team player with good communication and English fluency.

• Perform day to day tax activities with speed and accuracy across VAT, Sales Tax and other processes.
• Identify and execute transformation projects.
• Act as a knowledge manager.
• Ensure quality of deliverables and adherence to SLAs.
• Understand relevant tax processes and client procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings.
• Stay updated with changes in tax rules and regulations; assist manager to assess business impact.
• Deliver as per agreed timelines.
