Job summary

Dyson is seeking a technically driven engineer to join the Technology System team in Malaysia. You will drive system performance in fluids, thermodynamics, and power management, setting budgets to meet stringent requirements and collaborating with multiple teams to translate research into production-ready solutions.

You will lead experimental validation, perform data analysis with MATLAB/Python, and ensure robust testing while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• Experience with fluid dynamics, motor R&D and particles dynamics in product development.
• Understanding of experimental methods for pressure, flow and temperature measurement.
• Leadership in multiple development projects with strong priority and system thinking.
• Knowledge of CFD methods and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee system performances in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and power management.
• Set and control pressure and electrical budgets for battery runtime.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Motors and Power Electronics teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Create and maintain system diagrams to govern budgets across teams.
• Conduct experiments and use MATLAB, Minitab, Excel or Python for analysis and validation.
• Identify risks and keep stakeholders updated on project status.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and clearly present ideas both in writing and verbally.
• Drive robust testing methodology and data analysis to support timely delivery of solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams from early project stages through to production support.
