Job summary

Dyson in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer to join the Product Performance group. You will quantify and optimise how well the hair appliances perform in drying and styling, leveraging modelling tools and predictive analysis.

Responsibilities include designing tests, analysing experimental data with Minitab/MATLAB/Excel, and presenting clear engineering recommendations to the project team. Collaboration across disciplines will drive product vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3+ years in product design and development.
• Strong knowledge of measurement and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in Minitab, MATLAB or Excel.
• Experience with CAD/CAE tools preferred.
• Strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify factors affecting performance metrics.
• Use modelling tools to optimise or predict performance.
• Analyse data from tests with high technical rigor and provide recommendations.
• Design tests and test plans to identify performance improvements.
• Write scripts / Excel / Minitab analyses to create predictive models.
• Collaborate with project team to deliver optimized hair styling and drying performance.
