Job summary

Big Screen Media Sdn Bhd is seeking a Services Engineer to provide after-sales technical support for completed projects and sold products. You will manage a team of technicians for on-site service and plan preventive maintenance across all projects.

The role requires a degree in mechanical/electrical/electronics/IT or a related field, with AV industry experience a plus. Strong planning, reporting, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma with relevant work experience in AV/engineering fields.
• Experience in the AV industry is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and AV systems.
• Fluent in English and Malay; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide after sales technical support to completed projects and sold products.
• Lead and motivate a team of technicians for on-site service.
• Plan and track scheduled preventive maintenance for all completed projects.
• Plan and arrange daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Prepare weekly reports on service activities.
• Prepare maintenance proposals for end-of-warranty projects for clients.
• Issue service quotations for ad-hoc service requests.
• Attend on-site service for inspection, troubleshooting, and servicing works.
• Prepare service reports after maintenance/service works.
• Update product hardware and software knowledge to maintain SOP for servicing and product maintenance.
• Keep track of inventories needed for project and servicing use.
• Maintain documentation of all servicing records and reports.
• Liaise with relevant departments to apply for permits, safety briefings, site access, etc.
• Assist project department for urgent work completion when needed.

Job description

• To prepare service report upon completion of maintenance/service works
• To update with product hardware and software knowledge to ensure proper SOP for servicing & maintaining company's products

• To maintain proper documentation of all servicing records and reports
• To liaise with relevant departments to apply for service permit, safety briefing, site access, etc.
• To assist project department when needed for urgent work completion.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics, IT / Networking / Mechatronics Engineering. Diploma applicants with work experience as a service engineer are also welcomed to apply.
• Candidates with at least 1-2 years of working experience in the related field especially in the AV industry would be a plus for this role.
• Fresh graduates are also welcomed to apply.
• Good problem solving and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, Outlook, any related AV systems (eg.; Novastar, Colourlight and etc).
• Have good language commands like English and Malay. Ability to speak in Mandarin would be an added advantage but not compulsory.
• Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills and willing to multitask.
• Possess own transport (car) to travel for servicing works independently (travel allowance will be provided).
