About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of Extron Electronics Asia Pte Ltd as an Applications Engineer in Selangor, Malaysia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to our customers, ensuring they get the most out of our innovative audio-visual and control systems.

What you'll be doing

• Providing technical support and training to a large established base of professional AV resellers, installers and trainers
• Assisting customers with project design, configuration, and programming of Extron control systems and signal processing solutions. system integration, and troubleshooting
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues experienced by customers
• Conducting product training and demonstrations to educate customers on the capabilities of Extron solutions
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and services through feedback and recommendations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar technical support or applications engineering role, preferably in the audio-visual or control systems industry
• Strong understanding of audio-visual technologies, including video, audio, control, and networking systems (CCNA, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IP Addresses subnet masks, routers, NAT, gateways)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
• A passion for technology and a commitment to providing exceptional technical support
• Willingness to travel within the region to support customers and attend industry events
