Job summary

RBC in Malaysia is seeking an IT production support specialist to join a growing Capital Markets team. You will support surveillance platforms and upstream/downstream applications, ensuring stability and running the bank's critical systems.

You will automate processes, collaborate with Change The Bank and vendors, and drive ITIL-based service transitions, monitoring, disaster recovery, and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven ITIL knowledge in incident, problem, and change management.
• Proficiency with RHEL/Unix/Linux/Windows and scripting languages.
• Experience containerizing and orchestrating with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong DB skills in MS SQL and Sybase; ability to optimize queries.
• Experience monitoring across environments with ITSM/monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced knowledge to support the production Surveillance Platform and its dependent applications.
• Automate manual processes to evolve the platform.
• Develop understanding of surveillance objectives and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with CTB team and external vendors for agile development initiatives.
• Champion the Service Transition phase of ITIL with Production Readiness and License to Operate.
• Identify and communicate enhancements while surfacing risks via JIRA.
• Drive project momentum and benefits realization.
• Create stakeholder content using Confluence, PowerPoint, and Excel (including VBA).
• Manage disaster recovery planning and risk systems.
• Oversee applications lifecycle from concept to retirement across multiple platforms.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects and coordinate cross-functional resources.
