Job summary

Cognizant is hiring for a hands‑on infrastructure/application production support role in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle alert monitoring, incident triage, log review and runbook execution within a Run‑The‑Bank style production support model.

Responsibilities include incident escalation, RCAs, collaboration with cross‑functional teams and continuous service restoration while using Jira/Confluence for traceability.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of infrastructure or application production support experience in banking or enterprise tech.
• Hands‑on ITIL‑based Incident, Problem and Change Management in production environments.
• Linux/Unix (RHEL) and Windows OS troubleshooting for applications/infrastructure.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl or batch with evidence of automation.
• SQL/Sybase query writing and production issue investigation.

Responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day alert monitoring, incident triage and log review.
• Execute runbooks for restarts, log collection, batch checks and environment health.
• Escalate complex issues with diagnostic evidence to senior staff or vendors.
• Support production infrastructure and related apps through incident triage and RCAs.
• Maintain production stability via monitoring, runbooks and risk escalation.
• Collaborate with CTB/RTB/vendor teams on fixes, releases and readiness.
• Document incidents, changes and runbooks using Jira and Confluence.
