Job summary

INTEGRATED ONCOLOGY CENTER (KUALA LUMPUR) SDN. BHD. is seeking an Operating Theatre Nurse to assist the surgical team. You will evaluate patients pre-operatively, ensure correct site and consent, and support the perioperative process from theatre setup to patient transfer.

Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile OT, performing hand scrubs, assisting in procedures, counting sponges and needles, and safeguarding patient safety at every step. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing diploma or degree.
• Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board and hold APC with BLS.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients before surgery; confirm NBM status and address concerns.
• Ensure correct site, procedure, and patient for surgery.
• Confirm patient consent and complete identification check before procedures.
• Prepare operating theatre and gather necessary supplies.
• Maintain sterile environment in OT.
• Perform surgical hand scrub and assist in procedures.
• Carry out sponge and needle counts with scrub nurse.
• Highlight discrepancies to surgeon and perioperative team before closing.
• Promote high standards of patient safety and care.
• Assist in positioning patient on OT table and ensure safety.

Education

Diploma / Degree in Nursing

Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board
