Job summary

Nokia in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Supply Planner to ensure material availability for distribution centers and meet Nokia demand while controlling costs and inventory. You will manage supplier/EMS planning, forecast consolidation, and PO execution, collaborating across functions to keep production flowing.

You'll work with SAP and Kinaxis planning tools, monitor stock levels, and address shortages and deviations with proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Fluent English language required (written and spoken).
• MS Office package proficiency, especially Excel and Outlook; SAP ERP experience (BPP).
• Solid understanding of general supply chain principles (D&SP balance, Inventory, MRP/ERP, Master data).
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt to changes.
• Strong decision-making and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Clear communication with different counterparts and departments.
• Knowledge of Kinaxis RapidResponse as planning tool.

Responsibilities

• Manage consolidation and distribution of forecast to suppliers/EMS and acknowledge supply plan (PO Confirmation Dates and PSP).
• Collect purchase requisitions and trigger creation of purchase orders.
• Interface with suppliers/EMS to ensure PO acknowledgment and planning per requirements.
• Maintain production plan and discuss material shortages and plan deviations.
• Ensure SAP and Kinaxis are fed and updated with PO confirmation dates and PSP signals.
• Ensure inbound material and goods receipt execution.
• Manage PiPo (Phase in/Phase out) under OPM guidance.
• Monitor inventories and rebalancing (FG stock, order book, E&O reporting).
• Monitor procurement and master data conditions with relevant teams for maintenance.
• Manage exceptions (FG invoice clarifications, returns, quality claims).

Is responsible for the daily operational management of our suppliers/EMS and supply network, material & production forecasting and planning, order management, and problem solving on local or global level.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Manage the consolidation and distribution of forecast to suppliers/EMS (RSP) and acknowledge their supply plan (PO Confirmation Dates and PSP)
• Collect purchase requisitions and trigger the creation of relevant purchase orders
• Interact with suppliers/EMS to ensure that purchase orders are acknowledged and planned as per our requirements
• Responsible to maintain production plan and discuss material shortages and plan deviations
• Ensure that SAP and Kinaxis are properly fed and updated with PO confirmation dates and PSP signals
• Ensure material's inbound and good receipts execution
• Follows changes in purchased items and manages Phase in/Phase out (PiPo) under guidance of Operations Portfolio Management (OPM)
• Manages inventories and related rebalancing (FG stock level review, order book management, Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) management and reporting
• Has responsibility to monitor procurement and master data conditions and interact with relevant teams in charge to grant their maintenance
• Manages exceptions (FG invoice clarification, returns, quality claims etc)

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

• Fluent English language (both written and spoken)
• Very good knowledge of MS Office package (especially Excel and Outlook) and SAP ERP (BPP)
• Good experience with general supply chain principles (Demand and Supply balance, Inventory management, MRP/ERP systems, Master data parameters)
• Strong proactivity and problem solving attitude
• Decision making oriented and adaptability to changes
• Ability to communicate and effectively cooperate with different counterparts and departments
• Knowledge of supply chain's planning tools as Kinaxis RapidResponse
