Job summary

AT HONEYCOMB ENGINEERING (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Iskandar Puteri is seeking a Supply Chain Executive to oversee logistics and purchasing activities, focusing on freight forwarder performance, import/export coordination, and cost control.

You will drive local and overseas supplier development, conduct vendor qualification and quarterly reviews, and set purchasing parameters in the system. Candidates should hold a degree with 5+ years' experience and have strong knowledge of customs regulations;

Qualifications

• Degree holder with 5+ years in related function.
• Good knowledge of customs regulations.
• Able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Chinese is preferred due to Mandarin communication with China counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee selection and performance of freight forwarders for cost/service optimization.
• Maintain high service levels for raw material imports and FG exports with customs compliance.
• Monitor and optimize logistics processes to minimize logbook cost and ensure policy compliance.
• Lead local and overseas supply base development including vendor surveys, plant audits, vendor qualification and quarterly reviews.
• Set up purchasing parameters for new parts in the system.
• Conduct system purchasing data analysis and periodic reviews.

Supply Chain Executive (Logistics / Purchasing/ Iskandar Puteri)

Oversee the selection, qualification, and performance management of freight forwarders to achieve optimal service levels and cost effectiveness.

Maintain a high service level in raw material import and in FG export out, considering customs and inspection quarantine policy compliance, delivery lead time and cost.

Monitor and optimize the company process continuously considering customs policy compliance and minimize the Logbook cost on duty and VAT.

Take initiative for local and overseas supply base development, which including Vendor capability survey, plant audit, vendor qualification and quarterly performance review.

Set up purchasing parameters for new parts in system.

Conduct system purchasing data analysis and periodic review.

Job Requirement:

Possess a Degree with at least 5 years of working experience in related capacity.

Good knowledge in customs regulations.

Able to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Proficiency in Chinese is preferred as the role requires frequent communication and coordination with Mandarin-speaking counterparts in China.
